Carers’ Rights Day 2022 – Aura Yoga

Aura Yoga with Geri will be attending this event if you fancy popping along for a chat and some well deserved respite from your role as a carer. There will be be information, support, entertainment and delicious food available.
I know first hand how rewarding and difficult caring for loved ones can be. Yoga and Homoeopathy helped me cope with some of the many emotions that overwhelmed me as a care giver.
My mental and physical health suffered and as a result, impacted my family and friends too. I often felt exhausted, from worry, lack of sleep, juggling work, family life and role of carer.I lost interest in activities that once brought me joy. In fact I became full of apathy, irritable, angry and frustrated.
I found my encounters with healthcare providers and various professional agencies frustrating while sourcing care, much needed help and advocating for my loved one.
Caring can be extremely isolating, so why not give yourself a well deserved break and pop along to this Carers’ Rights Day event, organised by CCBC, at Blackwood RFC., Thursday 24th November, anytime between 10:30am – 3pm
